Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas

Contemporary. Diverse. Vibrant. Thriving. Centrally-Located. Expanding. Youthful. Hi-Tech. Fast-Growing. Any of these words or phrases, standing alone, could describe practically any location. When you put them all together, though, they can only exemplify one place: the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Dallas/Fort Worth is the eighth largest metropolitan area in the country. In nine years, it is anticipated to be fourth in the nation. In the last decade, the growth rate was nearly 20%, adding more than 250 residents a day. The median age is 33.4, creating a labor force that is considerably younger than the national average of 36.32. The recent increase of new jobs has been an attractor to these young, potential workers. The central location of the Metroplex is also an added benefit-- not only to the labor market, but also to companies who deal with other cities in North America on a regular basis.

Dallas and Fort Worth have some of the most frequently traveled roads in the country. There were 1,849,198 vehicles registered in Dallas County in 2005. In Tarrant County (where Fort Worth is located), there were 1,344,777 vehicles registered. In the two combined counties, over 65 million Daily Vehicle Miles (the average miles driven per day) were traveled. In the DFW DMA, 59.5% of the adult population are considered heavy drivers, traveling more than 250 miles per month.

It is well known that the Metroplex is home to many high-profile companies. In fact, many Fortune 500 companies (2005) are headquartered here: ExxonMobil (1); AMR (105); EDS (108); JC Penney (118); Kimberly-Clark (140); DR Horton (162); Texas Instruments (167); Fluor (169); Burlington Northern Santa Fe (171); Centex (175); Dean Foods (216); TXU (228); Tenet Healthcare (236); Southwest Airlines (300); Commercial Metals (329); Energy Transfer Partners (347); Celanese (356); RadioShack (423); Atmos Energy (430); Triad Hospitals (432); Affiliated Computer Services (471); and Brinker International (504). With such an extensive list of businesses, it is no wonder that the two cities-- together as the Metroplex-- have received the reputation of a fast-growing marketplace. The area continues to flourish in technology, professional services, banking, financial services, and manufacturing.

Primary Media Outdoor operates the largest bulletin inventory in Dallas/Fort Worth, with many high profile permanent and rotary bulletin locations, an exclusive 30-sheet/8-sheet poster panel inventory, and a spectacular wallscape in the heart of Downtown Dallas. With the incomparable inventory that sets Primary Media Outdoor apart from other out-of-home companies, and with recent acquisitions, Primary Media Outdoor can not only easily reach the general market, but it can also create programs that specifically target ethnic areas.
